• Coordinate with clinical stakeholders, facility operations, and medical planners to translate program requirements into code-compliant design solutions.
• Prepare and manage submissions and responses for regulatory reviews, including OSHPD (where applicable) and HCAI processes, and coordinate with local AHJ to secure permits and approvals.
• Maintain project risk registers and proactively resolve design, cost, and schedule issues; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare codes, infection control standards, accessibility, life safety, and facility engineering requirements throughout design and construction.
• Represent the firm in client meetings, presentations, design workshops, and construction meetings; build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Provide construction administration services, including RFI review, submittal coordination, site observations, and closeout documentation to ensure contract compliance and quality.
• Promote firm best practices, participate in business development and proposals for healthcare projects, and contribute to knowledge sharing and quality standards across the team.

• Active licensure or reciprocity with NCARB certification preferred; California registration/experience advantageous.
• Minimum 8+ years of architecture experience with a significant portion in healthcare design (clinics, hospitals, outpatient facilities).
• Proven experience acting as Project Architect and Project Manager on medium to large healthcare projects, with demonstrated budget and schedule accountability.
• Strong Revit and BIM skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary models and coordinating federated model workflows.
• Direct experience with OSHPD review processes and documentation (or equivalent state healthcare review authorities) and familiarity with HCAI submissions and requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare codes, NFPA, ADA, infection control best practices, and hospital planning standards.
• Excellent client communication, presentation, and team leadership skills; ability to facilitate clinical stakeholder workshops.
• AIA membership preferred; experience with construction administration and dispute resolution.
