We are looking for a focused and dynamic Architectural Designer, Job Captain, or Project Architect with strong planning, documentation, and technical detailing abilities
Production of drawings in Revit and AutoCAD
Represent ORANGEWALLstudios on the job and off in a professional manner and with the highest level of integrity
Stay current with new design software developments (i.e., Revit, Autodesk Collaborate Pro, Bluebeam, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
Professional degree in Architecture required

Responsibilities
The Architectural Designer | Job Captain | Project Architect is a key member of our project team and supports and supplements the senior staff to ensure that the team produces deliverables which meet the requirements of the senior staff as defined by the project process
This position offers an active role in the conceptual through construction administration phases of project development and documentation
Responsibilities could include direct communication with the client, facilitation of communication across the project team, preparation of preliminary code reviews, overseeing and participation in the creation of project documentation and may be expected to participate in community design meetings and charrettes
Ideal candidates will have some experience with building codes over a range of project typologies, building types and scales, be able to manage project documentation as well as contribute to design excellence through the project
Design and technical documentation support to the Principal and Project Leads
Involvement in all phases of project development including design and production
Oversee or participate in building surveys, studies, field measurements, and as-builts
Provide input into the design and construction schedule
Production of construction detail documentation that conforms to QA/QC and best practice standards
Generate presentation renderings, production of graphics and reports
Develop space plans and schedules
Provide input into maintenance of project specification standards across projects
Provide input into managing the bidding and permitting process
Participate and support the Project Leads and Principal in client meetings and presentations
Facilitate clear communication with the client, consultants, and internal team
Recognize and document conflicts as they arise and offer alternatives to resolve issues
Resolve design and technical issues to maintain progress and quality control
Research materials and products and meet with vendors
Provide input into evaluating contractor’s progress during construction and provide recommendations
Participate in the close-out process
Other tasks as assigned
Apply creative design thinking to client’s business problems to help maximize the value of ORANGEWALLstudios’s service to the client
Be willing to ask questions – especially if help is warranted

YOUR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Professional degree in Architecture required. NCARB Certified is preferred.
• Fluent in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of architectural graphic standards.
• Produces quality work that is complete and accurate with a great attention to detail.
• Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and the permit procurement process.
• Must be responsible and dependable, willing to take on assignments and be accountable for results.
• Strong interpersonal skills, communicates effectively, and works well with others.
• Maintains a high level of productivity, can work independently, and responds to changes in priorities in an unstructured environment.
• Takes initiative, offers effective solutions, and learns new methods to accomplish tasks.
• Must be able to respond well to new situations and is open to improving process.
• Maintains a professional demeanor by remaining positive, takes a sense of pride in work, and can handle confidential information.
• Must have the ability to get to and from client meetings, construction sites, vendor offices, etc.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.
• 3-7 years of working or relevant experience preferred.
