Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Architectural Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the creation of architectural plans and drawings, contributing to the successful delivery of a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Boss Design Ltd. clients to produce schematic designs, design development documents, and working drawings across a range of project types and sizes
Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site conditions, and other technical documents and reports
Coordinate with clients to implement revisions and provide design solutions as requested
Liaise with builders, contractors, and third-party consultants throughout project delivery
Ensure working drawing packages are complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations
Collaborate with Boss Design Ltd. staff on project development and problem-solving
Contribute to improving internal processes and overall team efficiency
Attend meetings with new and active clients during the design phase
Provide clients with appropriate design recommendations based on budget, site conditions, and current design trends
Convert design concepts and documentation into detailed working drawings
Experience Required:
College diploma or degree in Architectural Technology from a recognized institution
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential housing design and drafting
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills
Excellent attention to detail
Solid understanding of architectural design principles
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
