Position Summary
Lead a small team of general labourers by directing daily priorities and workflow.
Manage time, labour and materials to keep multiple projects on schedule.
Coordinate with the Plant Manager for resource planning.
Coordinate with Project Managers through various milestones of assigned projects.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
Interpret technical drawings, distribution lists, and shop documents to ensure accurate builds.
Assemble and test metal fixture assemblies for stability, durability and correct functionality.
Troubleshoot assembly issues and verify all units meet safety and quality specifications.
Oversee pack-out of heavy fixtures, ensuring proper protection, strapping and skid preparations.
Verify accuracy of pulled items and perform QC on all outgoing orders.
Track schedules, and report progress daily.
Requirements
Secondary School Diploma
Experience with assembly and pack outs.
Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and shop drawings.
Experience using power hand tools.
Moderate understanding of fixture construction, shop safety, and material handling.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a fast paced production environment.
Solid communication skills (verbal and written).
Basic proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and scheduling software.
High attention to detail with strong QC discipline.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
