Assistant Accountant
Cheltenham
£30,000-£34,000

A fantastic opportunity to work for an international company based just outside of Cheltenham on the edge of the Cotswolds.
Set in a rural location our client is offering you the chance to join an established team in a diverse role to suit a candidate coming from financial background. You will be proactive and highly organised with good commercial awareness.
In your new role you will be working closely with the group management accountant as well as members of the operations and logistics departments. Your duties will include:
• Overseeing AP/AR
• Assistant with the month-end management accounts
• Preparing daily bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
• Preparation of third-party and intercompany bank payments
• VAT accounting and reporting including preparation and filing of Intrastat returns
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Preparing monthly staff payroll
• Ad-hoc finance administration including staff expenses
• Credit control tasks
To be successful in your application you will have:
• AAT or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous financial experience ideally within AP/AR
• Payroll background
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
