Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Process bank reconciliations daily for the bank accounts allocated to the staff member
Follow up with the appropriate business units in relation to banking queries
Reconcile Donation Income in Xero compared to Salesforce on a monthly/YTD basis and investigate/report any variances
Complete the Gifts in Wills Reconciliations on a monthly basis
Maintain the fixed asset registers for additions, disposal, and transfers
Process general ledger journals and update reconciliations on a weekly/monthly basis e.g., accruals, prepayments, intercompany journals, investments, restricted funds, fixed assets
Verify all appropriate documents/approvals for purchases, sales and write offs of fixed assets
Complete other reasonable tasks from time to time as directed by senior finance team members, the Financial Controller or the Finance Manager
Essential Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Completion or part completion of a postgraduate accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
Intermediate skills in MS Office programs, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Finance role
Experience in mainstream accounting packages – XERO, Asset Management system and Salesforce highly regarded.
