Job Summary:The Accountant Assistant will support the accounting team in managing day-to-day financial tasks, data entry, documentation, compliance activities, and preparation of financial reports. This role is suitable for candidates who are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn and grow in the field of accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and data entry in accounting software (Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
Assist in preparing GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
Maintain organized client records and financial documents.
Conduct basic reconciliations (bank, vendor, customer, etc.).
Support in preparing financial statements and internal MIS reports.
Track due dates for filings and help ensure timely compliance.
Manage a small Team of 1 or 2 person.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
B.Com / M.Com / BBA / MBA in Finance or related field.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
Working knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, data handling, etc.).
Familiarity with any accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Nice to Have:Internship or 6+ months of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Exposure to UK accounting standards or cloud accounting platforms (Xero, Dext, etc.).
