Our client, a distinguished financial services firm, is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Senior Forensic Accountant to join their investigative team in **Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN**. This is an on-site position where you will apply your financial acumen and investigative skills to uncover financial irregularities, fraud, and misconduct. You will be responsible for conducting complex financial investigations, analyzing large datasets, reconstructing financial records, and preparing detailed reports for legal proceedings and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and legal frameworks related to financial crime. Your ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, will be paramount.
Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive financial investigations into suspected fraud, embezzlement, asset misappropriation, and other financial crimes. Analyze complex financial data, transaction records, and accounting systems to identify anomalies and irregularities. Reconstruct financial records and trace financial assets. Interview witnesses, suspects, and relevant parties to gather information and evidence. Prepare detailed forensic accounting reports, including findings, methodologies, and expert opinions. Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings, depositions, and arbitrations. Collaborate with legal counsel, law enforcement agencies, and internal audit teams. Develop and implement internal controls to prevent and detect financial misconduct. Assess damages and quantify financial losses resulting from fraudulent activities. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and emerging trends in forensic accounting and fraud detection. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA/CA/CMA designation is highly preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or forensic accounting. Proven experience in conducting financial investigations and fraud detection. Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and legal concepts related to financial crime. Proficiency in data analysis tools and forensic accounting software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism. Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
