Job Summary:

This position is part of the Accounting Department. The main activities are the assistance of the preparation of the quarterly VAT return, preparations of the Swiss and Irish VAT returns and the monthly CIS submissions.

Key Relationships:

Internal- other members of the Accounting Department, other departments within the UK Centre of Excellence (CoE), the broader Finance community, operational staff.

Your purpose:

Monthly calculation and submission of CIS Returns.
Preparation of monthly VAT returns for UK, Irish & Swiss registrations.
Assisting the Tax Accountant with completion of the quarterly VAT returns.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Approving CIS invoices in Markview, calculating the labour/material split for Net Rated CIS registered subcontractors.
Approving payment runs for CIS Registered Subcontractors.
Assisting the Tax Accountant with the preparation of the annual corporate CT packs.
Creating and uploading Legal Packs for AtkinsRéalis.
Ad hoc projects/tasks.
Person Specification:

Technical and Professional Experience-

The candidate should be AAT qualified.
The candidate must have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Sound understanding of computer systems – ability to adapt quickly to using new systems.
The candidate should have experience of working in accounting environment.
A knowledge of Oracle.
