OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management or similar such as Facility Maintenance and possess the necessary skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
REQUIREMENTS:
>MUST speak, write and read in English AND Spanish.
>26 years of age or older and able to legally work in US.
>Valid and clean driver's license and able to pass background and drug screen.
>Ability to occasionally travel.
> Able to effectively work with EXCEL, WORD and OUTLOOK.
> Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Project Manager or similar role.
> Strong knowledge of maintenance / construction management practices.
> Excellent project coordination and time management skills.
> Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
> Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
> Able to read plans, blueprints, schematics and work up budgets on Excel.
> Meet vendors and clients at project sites and represent the company.
> Conduct inspections and identify potential issues or hazards.
> Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks accordingly.
> Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
> Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues.
> Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, bidding processes, and contract negotiations
> Able to personally respond to service calls and Supervise others.
> Able to work individually and as part of a team, supervise vendors, projects and trades.
> Able to assess facility, repair or maintenance needs.
> Able to respond to client locations to assess and resolve maintenance and service issues.
> Able to be "on-call" for emergencies when needed.
> To succeed and advance your career, you must have flexibility of schedule to accommodate work needs. This is a SALARIED MANAGEMENT POSITION requiring focus, commitment and not a + to 5 job mentality.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from start to finish
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers
- Implement and maintain safety protocols on construction sites
