Job Overview
There is a permanent full-time staff position available as Assistant Controller our Accounting Department working under the supervision of the Controller and reports to the Treasurer. Applicants must have knowledge of all accounting and financial applications including budgeting and taxes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing budget requests and financial reports required by management or governmental agencies.
Advising management and locals on taxes and changes to reporting regulations.
Developing, coordinating and maintaining computer accounting procedures.
Utilizing knowledge of accounting systems and automated processes to instruct subordinates.
Examining and approving, by signature, papers and documents requiring approval and signature of the Treasurer, such as checks, vouchers, verifications, etc.
Supervising personnel, performing various phases of accounting operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting
Five (5) years minimum of supervisory experience
Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management.
