A Snapshot
As the Assistant Finance Manager reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance. You will also work closely with the rest of the Finance team, making your mark in a number of ways:
Supporting the Australian finance team in relation to financial operations process, month-end, year-end closing and other ad-hoc assignments as required
Be instrumental in helping AirTrunk defining leading practice and driving out key improvements through simplification and standardisation
As a growth position within a dynamic and entrepreneurial business, the general nature and level of work within this role is designed to progress as opportunities arise
Your Day to Day
End to end monthly processes for our Australian company's:
Month end reporting including posting accruals
Maintenance of the general ledger of the group, including monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Preparing reconciliation of Construction capex spend
Managing the employee expense claims process
Mentor junior members of the team
Responsible for compliance with all Australian indirect tax obligations (GST, FBT, Payroll Tax)
Overseeing bank account administration
Control and maintenance of the fixed assets register
Assist Financial Control team at year-end
Assist in the improvement of finance processes and controls
Assistance in the development and implementation of policies and procedures; and
Assistance with other ad hoc projects and duties as required
Requirements
A minimum of 4-5 years' relevant experience, preferably from Big 4 with relevant industry background
in Accounting, Finance, or related degree preferred
CA/CPA qualifications or in the process of obtaining
Strong attention to detail, highly organised, exceptional attitude
Ability to problem solve and multi-task
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desire and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
