Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant HR Manager to support our Human Resources function at our Mumbai office. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and workforce development. This role is essential to building a positive workplace culture aligned with our values and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Collaborate with department heads for manpower planning and staffing needs.
Facilitate performance appraisal cycles and training & development programs.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory regulations.
Maintain employee data, attendance, and payroll coordination in HR systems.
Address and resolve employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
Engage with artisan workforce (karigars) and assist in audits and workforce documentation.
Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in the manufacturing or gems & jewellery sector.
Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR practices.
Proficient in MS Office and HRIS platforms.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience working with factory/karigar workforce is an advantage.
Multilingual ability (especially Hindi/regional languages) is a plus.
