Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Project Planning: Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
• Task Coordination: Coordinate project tasks and activities, ensuring they are assigned to team members and completed according to schedule. Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
• Communication: Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors. Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and document meeting minutes.
• Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, issue logs, change requests, all other project related documents required from time to time. Ensure all project-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
• Resource Management: Assist in resource allocation and scheduling, ensuring the right team members are assigned to projects based on their skills and availability. Monitor resource utilization and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Monitor and address project issues, escalating them to the Project Manager when necessary.
• Quality Assurance: Support the implementation of quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements, provide project updates, and address any concerns or issues raised.
• Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues. Analyse project data and provide insights to the Project Manager for decision-making purposes.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices to optimize project management and execution.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a project coordinator /Assistant Project Manager or similar role in the IT industry.
• Solid understanding of project management and Agile principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in project management software and collaboration tools.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
