Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Handle day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, attendance tracking, and leave management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, such as the Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Industrial Disputes Act, and other applicable legislation.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and labor law matters.
• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and performance improvement plans.
• Collaborate with the legal team to address labor law compliance issues, legal disputes, and negotiations with labor unions or employee representatives.
• Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the HR and management teams.
• Conduct investigations and interviews related to employee complaints or disciplinary matters.
• Assist in conducting employee satisfaction surveys and analyzing results to identify areas for improvement.
• Support the HR Manager in employee engagement initiatives, including organizing events, rewards and recognition programs, and employee welfare activities.
• Prepare reports and data analysis related to HR and industrial relations for management review.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in HR and industrial relations, preferably in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, including the Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Industrial Disputes Act, and other relevant legislation.
• Experience in managing employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with HR software systems and tools for HR operations.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Membership in professional HR or industrial relations associations is a plus.
