Where Every Citizen Matters Did you know that the Indian Government spends about 400 billion USD on social welfare and security schemes every year? Inspite of this, there are 124 million people living below the poverty line and 400 million more working in the unorganized sector with no formal entitlements. This is the problem that we are trying to solve through assisted tech and last mile connectivity. We feel both humble and proud that in the last 5 years we have channelized over 500 crores of benefit to more than 1 million citizens across 20 states in the country. And in the process we have trained over 10000 women entrepreneurs who earn a livelihood because they are trained on our products and processes. Proud because this is no mean achievement and humble because there is just so much more to do.

The Opportunity We are looking to hire an Associate/ Junior Associate in the Program Design vertical (Rural, Urban and Central). As the leadership of the vertical, you will
● - Work closely with the cross vertical to drive transformation and development initiatives - Do extrapolatory research to understand government schemes dynamics, devise strategies for smooth implementation of the policies and turnkey organisation’s strategic goals - Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business strategies and build a team that can support the goals
● - Facilitate coordination and dialogue between various external and internal stakeholders for inter sectoral collaboration and implementation
● - Prepare and share regular progress reports of various organisational deliverables - Lead a team of young and dynamic public policy professionals to enrich the research database of the organisation
● - Lead projects catering to financial inclusion, governance and policy transformation. - Build and mentor an agile team that can keep pace with the organisational growth.
● - Own and uphold the culture and values of Haqdarshak and ensure it percolates across our diverse teams
You should
● - Be excited about working in a high growth, impact driven, social enterprise - Be able to bring in industry best practices specifically with respect to public policy research and advocacy
● - Project management, PG in public policy/ rural development/development management, published or contributed to at least 3 academic papers, MS office excellency, knowledge of data analysis tools
● - Be comfortable with data and show ability to articulate the story behind the data (Advance excel and data visualisation tools proficiency is desirable)
● - Have contributed to academic research papers/ or have been part of a larger community development program
● - Be willing to travel across the country in the remotest locations with not so sophisticated travel arrangements
● - Have excellent communication skills
● - Be comfortable in working in diverse cultural settings
● - Have around 1-4 years of experience across disciplines such as rural development, migration issues, urban poverty, financial inclusion, project designs and impact evaluation.
