We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in driving service excellence, leading the team on the floor, and keeping La Piazza running at its best. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you’ll help shape the culture, manage day to day operations, and deliver the high standards our guests love.
Other elements of the role will include:
Lead with confidence, energising and inspiring the team to perform at their best on the floor
Drive seamless, high performing daily operations in a fast paced environment
Set the standard for excellence across service quality, compliance, and execution
Own the end to end management of bookings, functions, and events
Elevate the guest experience by consistently delivering exceptional food and beverage service
Champion Health & Safety, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace for all
Build smart, effective rosters that support both the team and operational demand
Partner closely with management to create memorable guest experiences
Support the Restaurant Manager in driving strong commercial and financial outcomes
Create seamless collaboration between front and back of house
Take ownership across the venue, stepping in wherever leadership is needed
About you:
2–3 years’ experience in a similar leadership role
Proven success in a fast paced, high volume service environment
A hands on leadership style present, proactive, and floor focused
Experience training and developing teams in an à la carte setting
Strong food and beverage knowledge, including solid bar skills
Excellent people skills with the ability to build rapport with both team members and guests
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends within operational hours
Current RSA and RCG accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
