Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. This role is vital in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. Responsibilities
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies
Lead and supervise store staff, providing training & development to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
Manage payroll, scheduling, and staffing needs to optimize store efficiency
Handle purchasing, pricing, and stock replenishment to maintain attractive product displays and inventory levels
Oversee cash handling, cashiering, POS transactions, and bookkeeping activities with accuracy and integrity
Implement marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase sales
Conduct recruiting efforts including interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees
Monitor sales performance metrics and develop action plans to meet or exceed sales targets
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills and leadership
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership capabilities
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising, pricing strategies, and cash handling procedures
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development, and team management
Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and administrative tasks
Customer service-oriented mindset with exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays if needed
Demonstrated ability in negotiation, marketing strategies, sales management, and store operations
