Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our retail location. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. Responsibilities
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of customer service.
Supervise and motivate team members, including recruiting, training, and developing staff to achieve sales targets and maintain store standards.
Manage merchandising activities, including pricing, product placement, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities.
Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping with accuracy and integrity.
Support marketing efforts by executing promotional campaigns and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and facilitate ongoing training & development for team members.
Assist with purchasing decisions, budgeting, and sales management to meet financial objectives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures.
Engage with customers to resolve issues promptly, ensuring a positive shopping experience that encourages repeat business.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, and maintaining organized records.
Requirements
Proven supervisory experience in retail sales or store management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing techniques, and sales management.
