Job Description: Assistant Swimming Teacher (a.k.a. Swimming Superhero Sidekick!)
Overview
Are you passionate about swimming and love working with children? We’re on the lookout for an energetic and dedicated Assistant Swimming Teacher to join our team of aquatic superheroes! Whether you’ve got experience in swimming, sports coaching, or early years education - if you’ve got the spark, we’ve got the support.
Our mission - to make every swimming lesson a fun, engaging, and unforgettable adventure. Through our unique programme, we inspire confidence, promote water safety, and help children build a lifelong love of the water. If you're ready to help kids become swimming legends, we want to hear from you!
Your Superpowers Will Include:
Supporting teachers in delivering fun and effective swimming lessons to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities
Supporting water safety, swimming techniques, and basic fitness in a way that’s exciting and easy to understand
Giving feedback that inspires and encouragesKeeping our poolside safe, clean, and always ready for adventure by following health and safety guidelines
Communicating clearly and warmly with parents and guardians about their child’s achievements
Taking part in ongoing training and development - because even superheroes keep learning!
What You’ll Need in Your Utility Belt:
Level 1 swimming teacher qualification
Previous experience as an assistant swimming teacher, coaching, or early years is a big plus
A positive attitude, a big smile, and a love for working with children
Strong communication skills and a can-do, team-first mindset
Bonus Powers:
Lifeguarding or swimming instruction certifications
A creative streak to make learning fun

Pay: £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
