TITLE: Assistant to the Director of Organizing DATE: 1/28/26
BASIC OBJECTIVE:
Supports all projects assigned by the Director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core Skills for an Assistant to a Director of Organizing:
· Executive & Administrative Support: Managing complex calendars, coordinating travel, preparing expense reports, and handling correspondence.
· Organizational & Project Management: Coordinating tasks, managing projects, and ensuring efficient operations, often using tools to track progress.
· Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills to represent the director professionally, alongside diplomacy and discretion in handling confidential information.
· Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
· Strategic Thinking & Analysis: Assisting with research, data analysis, and supporting the implementation of organizational goals.
· Other duties as assigned
This role requires a blend of high-level administrative capability with the initiative to act as a "gatekeeper" and a partner in the director's daily workflow.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the employee may be required, on occasion, to travel out of county/state and/or attend meetings in the evening or on weekends, at the employer’s expense. Flexible hours may be required to meet the responsibilities of this position. A valid Florida driver’s license and car insurance is required as well as clearance to enter school sites under the Jessica Lunsford act.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
· High School degree
· Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Suite, and social media platforms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is moderate physical work which requires the following physical activities: bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, twisting, finger dexterity, repetitive motions reaching, sitting, standing, walking, driving, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. This work is indoors and outdoors. Frequent travel within the county is required.
