Role Overview
The Associate Accountant role supports the Financial Management and Services (FMS) Group in delivering key deliverables across various teams, including FSPR, Treasury Finance and Services, and Risk, Compliance and Audit.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the delivery of the Total State Sector Accounts and key reporting aggregates for NSW Budget, Half Year Review, and Monthly Reporting.
Support the Treasury Finance team in providing excellent internal customer service and maintaining accurate processing of transactional finance services, including reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable.
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Willingness to complete a professional accounting accreditation, such as CPA or CA, with study assistance provided.
Basic knowledge of financial accounting concepts and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with ability to manage competing priorities and short turnaround times.
Ability to adapt and work effectively in a team environment.
