In this modern world of start-ups and enterprises, everyone knows what problem they are trying to solve through their start-up, but what they don't know or understand is the financial and compliance aspects of it.
About the Internship:
We are on the lookout for a meticulous accounting specialist with a firm grip on accounting principles and practices. While familiarity with Xero and QuickBooks could be beneficial, it is not an overriding factor for selection. Here's an opportunity to make a significant contribution to our team.
Key responsibilities:
1. Handle daily accounting tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll, and bank reconciliations
2. Reviewing financial statements for variance analysis and identifying reasons for the same
3. Generate monthly information statements (MIS) for various clients
4. Monitor and analyze business KPIs
5. Support in business planning and cash flow forecasting
6. Contribute to the testing and implementation of new software, suggesting areas of refinement
7. Assist with compliance audits in accordance with GAAP
8. Undertake financial analysis and ad hoc projects as required
Who can apply:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
2. Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping
3. Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks will be a strong advantage
4. In-depth understanding of accounting principles and practices
5. Capable of working autonomously and adhering to deadlines
6. Candidate should have experience in preparing financial statements and in-depth experience in accounting
1. Those who are from or open to relocate to Mumbai and neighboring cities
