Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Responsibilities
Legal Representation: Assist in representing clients in immigration, bankruptcy, personal injury, accident, and criminal cases, including court hearings, trials, and administrative proceedings under supervision
Client Communication: Conduct client consultations, provide legal advice, and maintain regular communication to keep clients informed about case progress
Legal Research & Writing: Perform thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence
Case Management: Support the lead attorney in managing a high-volume caseload, ensuring deadlines are met and cases are handled efficiently
Document Preparation: Prepare and review legal forms, applications, and supporting documentation for submission to courts and government agencies
Negotiation: Engage in settlement negotiations and plea discussions, as applicable, to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
Collaboration: Work closely with the sole practitioner and legal support staff to coordinate case strategies and ensure comprehensive client service
Court & Agency Appearances: Attend court hearings, immigration interviews, and agency appointments, representing clients effectively with appropriate supervision

We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Associate Attorney to join our team. Mr. Uriarte has been serving the immigrant community in Falls Church, VA for over 20 years and is seeking an associate who is passionate about serving others.
