Position Overview:
LSEG is seeking Associate Oracle Database Administrator which will handle day to day database administrative tasks. Support database services in 24/7 environment. Candidate should have good knowledge of Oracle architecture. Good in troubleshooting skills. Should have good exposure to Backup & Recovery, RMAN, ASM and Dataguard.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
Responsible for handling incidents and changes for any Oracle database related issues. Should coordinate with other teams like Unix Storage and network as required for resolving any issues. Should follow ITIL process.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
• BE, MCA or Equivalent, work experience plus 1-3 years experience as Oracle DBA
Knowledge and Skills
• Administer Oracle Databases
• Handle backup and recoveries
• Good at Shell scripting
• Configuring and administrating dataguard
• Oracle RAC architecture
• Basic knowledge of Unix
• Basic knowledge of Storage and network
• Exposure to MSSQL will be an advantage
