Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for Associate Database Patching and Service Account Maintenance to join their team in Bangalore, India.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, while working creatively in all phases of the software development life cycle.
Database Patching:
• Own the “Database Patch” metric on the IT Compliance Dashboard that is driven by Database Patching and Upgrades.
• Ensure SQL Server, Oracle and HANA databases have the latest database supported versions installed
• Work with Application Architects to obtain Boeing database version roadmaps
• Assist in developing database upgrade plans to keep all assets in compliance
• Partner with Database Administrators to ensure database security patches are installed
• Communicate database upgrade plans to affected application teams
• Ensure application teams perform functional checkout post database upgrade or patch implementation
• Track & mitigate risks that may prevent implementation of latest database patch and/or version
Service Account Password:
• Coordinate with Boeing and Vendor teams to plan updates to Service Account Passwords as per Boeing policy to ensure organization Service Accounts stay compliant.
• Coordinate environment outages (PreProd/Prod) as necessary to minimize impact to business as well as adhere to Boeing Production freeze windows during Service Account Password changes.
• Familiar with Password Management guidelines in PIM (Privilege Identity Management)/CyberArk which is the most current way of managing Service Accounts and support the conversion of legacy Service Accounts to PIM using STAR.
• Familiar with Computing Security Standards Manual (CSSM) Section 8.1.3 (Password Complexity Enforcement) and CSSM Section 8.2.2 (Expiring Nonperson Account Authentication Password).
• Own the “Service Account Passwords” metric on the IT Compliance Dashboard that is driven by Service Account Password compliance.
• May need to work with Vendors to obtain the DB fixes
• Will need troubleshooting skills to understanding any DB related issues and fix them.
• Will need to be flexible in work timings. Will need to work with US team mates and come up with plans to handle the assigned tasks.
• Will need good communication skills
• Good to have knowledge on query optimization.
• Will need to be familiar with cloud technologies.
• Typical Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or 3 year Diploma with typically 5 to 8 Years related work experience and/or a Master's degree or 3 year Diploma with typically 4 to 7 Year's related work experience or relevant military experience.
