About the Company: “At Denify, we create a themed range of decor & living, bed & furnishings inspired by cultures & art forms from varied communities around the world. Ever walk into a themed cafe/restaurant and feel wowed by intricate details of the interior, we are doing a finer version of the same for personalized spaces.” As the Associate Designer, you will create print & pattern, contribute to seasonal print, and establish an artwork library for teams to utilize. Responsible for creation, development and execution of artwork to achieve Denify’s objectives, and overall product strategy. Participate in research and development of seasonal trends and ensure that designs meet merchant line plans, assortment strategies, price points, and overall creative direction. This position will report to the Founder. • Skills & Responsibilities - Strong artistic ability and high taste level to translate Founder input into highly sell-able products. - Create and present cohesive têxtile/graphic design concepts to Merchant Teams, and Vendor partners that are brand & collection specific. - Create artwork (prints, embroideries, graphics) in Adobe suite for new private brand styles. - Maintain vendor communication and submit comments for art and color. - Evaluate all meeting and production samples with the extended Merchant team. - Create and adhere to the time/action calendar. - Participate as a member of the Brand team for continual improvement of product. • Knowledge & Skills Must know how to hand sketch illustrations Familiarity with Surface Designing is a plus Demonstrates creative ability Must have experience with the Adobe CC Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator & Bridge) Proven têxtile design experience in a given category is a plus Knowledge of print development techniques and printing technology currently used throughout the industry. Must be able to translate these to various types of têxtiles. Must have strong working knowledge of knit and woven têxtiles as they pertain to the têxtile design process. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Ability to adhere to tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail. Ability to improve skill set by listening and responding to constructive critique.
