Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting classroom activities, developing curriculum, and fostering a nurturing environment for young learners. This position offers an opportunity to lead by example, collaborate with fellow educators, and positively impact children's developmental growth through innovative teaching strategies and individualized attention.
Duties
Assist in designing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
Support classroom management by maintaining a positive learning environment and implementing behavior management techniques.
Collaborate with lead teachers to develop age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and early intervention strategies.
Provide direct care and supervision for children, including toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Conduct assessments to monitor student progress, including standardized testing when applicable, and adapt instruction accordingly.
Support children with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and fostering inclusive classroom practices.
Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
Assist in organizing classroom materials, managing supplies, and ensuring a clean, organized learning environment.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices, including literacy education, childcare standards, and child welfare protocols.
Requirements
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
Familiarity with curriculum development across various subjects such as math, literacy, physical education, and special education.
Experience with early intervention programs and understanding of special education needs is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families.
Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for diverse learners.
Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; however, relevant experience may be considered.
Passion for child welfare and commitment to promoting positive developmental outcomes for all students.
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
