About the role
UCL Department of Political Science wishes to appoint a fixed term Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Public Policy. The Associate Lecturer is expected to deliver a single module in Term 2 of academic year 2026-26: PUBL0008 Public Management: Theories and Innovations. They may also be asked to second mark one module delivered by another member of staff. The role will include lecture and seminar teaching, student experience and support activity, and personal tutoring. The postholder will be expected to first and second mark assignments and will also be expected to be available for office hours each week as required. The appointed candidate will be provided with all required module materials, including reading lists, essay questions, seminar plans, and lecture slides. The postholder will also be expected to be hold office hours each week during term time. The appointment is covering leave taken by permanent staff, and will run from 1 January 2026 to 30 June 2026 (6 months) at 0.30 FTE. The salary on offer is grade 7 between £47,451 to £52,586 inclusive of London Allowance.
