Associate Teacher Position
We are seeking highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our team as Associate Teachers for the 2026-2026 school year at independent schools in the Washington DC area.
Role and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with lead teachers to create a positive classroom atmosphere that fosters joyful learning and promotes a welcoming school culture.
Assist in planning and creating engaging lessons that encourage active participation and student enthusiasm for subject matter.
Lead student instruction in various subjects, including phonics, reading, writing, math, handwriting, and social studies.
Communicate effectively with parents through regular proactive and professional means, such as email, phone calls, and parent-teacher conferences.
Stay updated on new skills and techniques by regularly communicating with lead teachers.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
Demonstrated interest in teaching or working with young people.
Previous experience working with children, such as camp counseling, sports instruction, or teaching assistance.
Passion for working in education.
