Bachelor’s in Accounting (for Audit or Tax)
Master’s degree or 150 credits completed, in designated states
License / Certification
Actively working toward passing the CPA Exam, or relevant certification for respective discipline as soon as possible, if certification is not already attained
Must maintain required CPE credits annually
Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document
Governmental engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government

Responsibilities
We are looking to add an Audit Senior Staff Accountant to help lead and guide our clients, in addition to support our internal leaders with the on-going growth in our Irvine, CA office
As an Audit Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing the necessary procedures involved in planning and executing attestation engagements for clients in accordance with the applicable accounting standards
The Audit Senior Staff Accountant serves to work closely with clients and internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients, while given the opportunity to experience more complex areas of engagements and work on the development of supervisory skills necessary to prepare for the Senior level
Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries
Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls
Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up
Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards
Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines
Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient
Communicate with Client, Management, and Managing Director on work status and client issues that arise

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
• Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls
• Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up
• Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards
• Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines
• Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient
• Communicate with Client, Management, and Managing Director on work status and client issues that arise

Education
