About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Operational/Internal Auditor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing gap analyses, performing operational audits, and providing comprehensive documentation. If you have a strong background in public accounting and internal auditing, and experience in operational audits beyond SOX, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Gap Analysis: Perform thorough gap analyses to identify issues and areas for improvement within the audit processes.
• Operational Audits: Conduct operational audits (non-SOX) to evaluate efficiency and compliance across various processes.
• Documentation: Develop detailed documentation including audit process flow charts and narratives.
• Tower of Governance: Assist in the development and oversight of the governance framework and operational audits.
• Audit & Regulatory Reviews: Serve as a key contact for audit walkthroughs, scope definition, and regulatory reviews.
• Process Improvement: Analyze and document issues within the Accounts Payable (AP) process, creating charts and narratives to detail findings.
Requirements:
• Experience: Experience in public accounting with a focus on internal auditing.
• Operational Audits: Proven expertise in operational audits; experience with SOX audits is not sufficient for this role.
• Documentation Skills: Strong ability to document audit processes with flow charts and detailed narratives.
• Financial Industry Experience: Experience in the financial industry is highly desirable.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to perform detailed gap analyses and document findings effectively.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA) preferred.
