Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auditor and Accountant Expert to join our team at the City of New York. This individual will be responsible for conducting audits and providing recommendations for improvement to ensure the accuracy and transparency of financial records.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and auditing principles, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required, along with a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct audits and examinations of financial records and systems
Identify and report on areas of risk and opportunity for improvement
Develop and implement recommendations for process improvements
Provide training and guidance to staff on accounting and auditing procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
Valid CPA license
At least five years of experience in accounting or auditing
