Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Architect with expertise in Watermelon to lead, design, and implement robust automation solutions. The role involves owning the automation strategy, ensuring best practices, and delivering high-quality frameworks adaptable across multiple squads and environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and lead automation projects from initiation to delivery.
• Provide regular project updates to key stakeholders on schedule, status, progress, and issues.
• Design and deliver functional technology solutions aligned with business needs.
• Implement and own the automation strategy for the organization/project.
• Define automation frameworks and best practices to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Replicate frameworks across multiple squads for consistency.
• Continuously fine-tune solutions to meet specific software, OS, tools, and hardware requirements.
• Validate the implementation of best practices across automation teams.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to automation engineers.
• Architect tool integrations based on application architecture and the testing tools landscape.
• Develop and implement custom utilities to address customer requirements, including test data generation, reporting, and other tailored needs.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Proven experience in automation architecture and framework design.
• Strong expertise in Watermelon and related automation tools.
• Hands-on experience integrating automation tools with various applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
Education & Certifications
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in automation tools, architecture, or testing (preferred).
