Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Mix paints, stains, and coatings to achieve desired colours and finishes.
• Apply paints, varnishes, and sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for large-scale projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and touch up as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in painting or decorating roles is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment and troubleshooting issues.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as brushes, scrapers, sanders, and rollers.
• Experience with power tools including spray guns, drills, or sanders is desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during project tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and surface finishing.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
