Job Description:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Major Account Practice Lead to drive growth and retention within our Employee Benefits portfolio. This role focuses on managing and expanding business with large, complex employer groups. You will serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts, fostering long-term partnerships, identifying cross-sale opportunities, and collaborating closely with internal underwriting and sales teams to deliver tailored, compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Relationship Management
• Act as the strategic advisor and trusted partner to C-suite executives (CHROs, CFOs, CEOs) and HR leadership of major employer clients.
• Proactively identify client pain points (cost containment, employee engagement, compliance, wellness) and position our solutions to address them.

Business Development & Cross-Sell
• Uncover cross-sale and up-sell opportunities within existing major accounts
• Partner with clients to expand benefit offerings that enhance employee value proposition and control costs.
• Collaborate with internal product specialists to introduce innovative solutions (digital tools, data analytics, predictive modeling).

Loss Ratio control and Profitability Management
• Achieve and sustain portfolio Loss ratio through pricing discipline and claim mitigation strategies.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly Loss ratio reviews
• Collaborate with claims teams and sales team to implement corrective action plan.

Internal Collaboration & Coordination
• Work hand-in-hand with underwriting, actuarial, and sales support teams to design competitive, sustainable benefit programs.
• Lead renewal strategy development, including rate negotiations, plan design changes, and risk assessments.
• Serve as the voice of the client internally, ensuring seamless execution across operations, claims, and customer service.
• Prepare and present renewal proposals, financial analyses, and benchmark reports.

Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership
• Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes and competitor offerings.

Qualifications Required
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, group insurance, or brokerage/consulting with major accounts
• Proven track record of client retention and revenue growth in large employer segments.
• Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills at the executive level.
• Strong financial acumen
