Contractor
Primary role is 24x7 Application DBA support with AWS Redshift experience.
Needs good exposure and understanding of ETL and Data warehousing technologies on AWS Redshift.
Should be able to create AWS Redshift clusters, assign IAM roles and permissions and resolve connectivity issues. Should have knowledge of AWS S3, KMS, IAM, EC2 and CloudWatch etc.
Assists with all duties related to on-going operational AWS Redshift infrastructure.
Assists the support teams for monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving failed tasks or database issues.
Daily monitoring of database storage allocation and usage as well as other resource usage.
Assists with backup standards and schedules, and recovery procedures by co-ordinating the same with AWS Support
Security plan development, testing and maintenance. Intent of this security plan is to establish a means of providing complete accountability of the databases.
Advises developers/end users on issues such as database design and application architecture.
Should be good with Redshift cluster/query performance tuning activities.
Knowledge of Terraform is good to have
