Hexxcell is seeking to fill a full-time position for a talented Back-end Developer to join our small but talented team in our newly established office in Bangalore, India. You will be working closely with the back end and commercial team and contribute to the success of our software. Hexxcell Studio™ is used by Blue Chip companies around the world to solve crucial industrial problems and cut carbon emissions. The job involves devising, implementing and maintaining the back-end architecture.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the back-end development of Hexxcell software
Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
Ensure that software release deadlines are met
Understand and translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
Implement technical requirements into code
Support testing and deployment of new products and features
Participate in code reviews
Required Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
4+ years of experience in building robust, scalable, and efficient backend solutions
2+ years of back-end development experience with FastAPI or Flask
Experience with testing in Python
Familiarity with SQL database experience
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Intrinsic desire to continually improve, learn & grow
Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
CI/CD pipelines
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field).
Experience in development cycles and operation (DevOps)
Experience in handling large data sets
Experience in developing application for data visualisation/analysis.
Experience in industrial software development
Passionate about agile methodologies
