Job Description
We are looking for a highly capable Node.js (Backend) developer to optimize our web-based application performance. You will be collaborating with our front-end application developers in designing back-end components and integrating data storage and protection solutions.
We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of Node.Js-based services and experience in a similar role. An accomplished Node.js developer will be someone whose expertise results in the stable, fast, and secure exchange of data between servers and end-users.
As a specialist, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining network applications, as well as the exchange of data between servers and users.
Qualifications:
• At least 4+ years of server-side programming experience. However, we would prefer ability over experience.
• Server Side languages knowledge: Node.js and express.js is the first choice, PHP, Python, Go experience not mandatory but preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
• Solid experience working with databases (MongoDB).
• Decent experience with SOA and microservices architecture.
• Solid experience with version control (Git or Bitbucket preferred over SVN).
• Experience with serverless code deployment and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Heroku, etc.
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience working with real-time projects in the backend with node.js and express.js.
• Superb interpersonal, communication, time management, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• B.E. in Computer Science or Graduate/PG degree in Computer Science (Preferred but not mandatory, as we are more interested in your abilities and experience over a paper degree).
What You will do:
• Planning & developing the server-side business logic, and optimization/maintenance of the central database to ensure quick performance & responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
• Building stable, testable, and reusable code libraries for future use.
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
• Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support.
• Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, and preparing reports.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies.
• Stay on top of the advancements in the field of Node.js development.
• Write & maintain REST APIs for front-end consumption.
• Continuous optimization of backend applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
