Full job description
The BNSSG ADHD service provides specialist assessment and treatment to adults across a wide and diverse catchment area covering Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG).

The team is engaged in a period of transformation, and one aspect of this is expanding to include a screening service for all ADHD diagnostic assessment referrals in the BNSSG area.

The primary focus of this post will be to accept new referrals from Primary Care for diagnostic assessments. The post will include a significant amount of administration along with clinical aspects. It is largely a non-patient-facing role; however, some patients may require support calls to complete questionnaires.

Previous applicants need not apply.

Right to Work in the UK This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application, as the organisation is unable to support sponsorship for this post.

To provide both administrative and clinical support within the ADHD Assessment and Treatment Team, ensuring efficient service delivery and high-quality patient care. The post holder will act as a key link between clinicians, patients, and administrative systems, supporting assessments, treatment pathways, and ongoing care. Key activities will include:

Assist clinicians during ADHD assessments, including gathering histories, administering screening tools, and supporting patients through the process.

Liaise with various colleagues and stakeholders including Primary and Secondary Care colleagues.

Review (under supervision) patient psychometric questionnaires and qualitative information provided to decide if further assessment of ADHD is required.

Schedule appointments, manage waiting lists, and support clinicians with diary management.

Record and report patient progress, side effects, and outcomes to clinical staff.

Act as first point of contact for patients, carers, and professionals; handle queries sensitively and efficiently.

Input and maintain patient information, collate service activity data, and prepare reports for audits
