Job description, work day and responsibilities

Work independently and contribute to audits, implementing and evaluating local quality standards, policies, guidelines, and care pathways. Conducting clinical patient consultations at surgeries or health centres Undertaking clinical examinations and diagnostics investigations including venepuncture, BMs, and urinalysis. Supportive advice regarding contraception. Treating wounds and providing emergency first aid The application and removal off dressings and undertaking C&S specimens if required of the wound site.

Providing advice, education and information regarding chronic health conditions and disease, smoking cessation, weight management, including BMI assessment, supportive referrals to other agencies including Drug & ******* team, and Mental Health team and other agencies who can support patients care and lifestyle choices. Undertaking observations, pulse, temperature, B/P, SpO2, skin and foot assessment. Administering immunisations. Undertaking well woman and man clinics and specialist clinics for diabetes and asthma Delegating tasks to healthcare assistants Completing accurate record of patients consultations during the clinical session.
