Job Description
Job Overview: The Banking Data Modeller is responsible for designing and mapping data models to ensure the consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data systems within the banking domain. This role involves collaborating with business, architecture, and data governance teams to meet business needs and align with governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Laverae's inventory of data source and ensure its map correctly with Data Model
Understand data and prepared data transformation logics and data quality logics
Create and document data mapping, including data dictionaries, metadata, and entity-relationship diagrams.
Collaborate with Data Architects, and Analysts to drive internal customer needs into effective data models.
Enforce data modeling standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Communicate complex data and data modeling concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Support the design and implementation of database schemas/structures and database performance tuning/optimization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Expertise in relational, dimensional, and document data modelling.
Proficiency in SQL, SSIA, Procedures and ERWIN.
Experience in data quality practices.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
