Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using POS systems such as Micros POS
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely service
Handle cash transactions and operate cashiering systems with basic math skills
Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, equipment, and dining area in accordance with food safety standards
Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers professionally and courteously
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Restock supplies and ensure product quality at all times
Follow food safety protocols to ensure safe handling of all food items
Requirements
Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours effectively
Serving experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential
