The opportunity:
We are seeking a talented and experienced BI Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic Reporting & Analysis team. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation.
Your new role will involve:
Developing and maintaining Power BI datasets, reports, and data extracts.
Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
Modernise legacy reporting systems into best-practice Power BI architecture.
Mentoring and supporting self-service BI dashboard developers across the organisation.
Applying best practices in data modelling, T-SQL, DAX, M language, and Power Query.
Designing and executing test plans to ensure smooth handovers to operational teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Power BI or Azure certifications are highly regarded.
Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience with T-SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
Strong understanding of relational databases, OLTP, and star schema design.
Proven ability to design and implement data visualisation solutions.
Experience with aged care clinical systems (e.g., Alayacare, Epicor) is a plus.
Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
