SHIFT: Evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday to Friday as well as weekend work from time-to-time.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position involves working within a team environment, taking instructions from the Bindery Machine Operator
Assist Machine Operator to feed and take materials off the end of machinery, such as folders, shrink wrappers, drills, etc.
Assist to pack jobs in preparation for shipping
Occasionally work on handwork jobs in the finishing department
Assist the Kitting department with Hand Kitting as required
Respect and abide by all Health and Safety policies
Learn new processes for multiple roles/machinery
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of secondary education and/or equivalent
Previous experience with precise handwork and working within a print bindery environment is a strong asset.
Strong English communication skills
Able to read, understand and follow docket instructions
Strong hand dexterity and hand/eye coordination are essential
Able to lift up to 35 pounds and capable of standing for long durations
Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness are essential
Able to work well in a team environment
Able to multitask in addition to working well under pressure
Must hold or be eligible to attain Government security screening to Reliability level
