Job Description
• Develop and deliver comprehensive biology curricula that align with educational standards and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate laboratory experiments, dissections, and interactive activities to enhance student understanding of cell biology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and other key topics.
• Utilize learning technology tools to create immersive lessons, track student progress, and facilitate differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive environment conducive to learning and participation.
• Prepare students for standardized testing through targeted review sessions and tutoring support.
• Mentor students academically and personally, providing guidance on research projects, science fair participation, and higher education pathways.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies to continuously improve educational outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Proven classroom experience teaching biology at the secondary or higher education level.
• Strong knowledge of biological sciences including genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and dissection techniques.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design.
• Familiarity with laboratory experience and research laboratory procedures is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Experience working with diverse learners, including those in special education or Montessori settings.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management strategies.
• Knowledge of standardized testing formats and effective tutoring methods for exam preparation.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
