• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results by performing routine quality control checks and maintaining proper documentation.
• Follow established procedures for handling, storing, and labeling blood products to maintain their integrity and traceability.
• Monitor and manage the inventory of blood products, ensuring adequate supplies are available for patient needs.
• Maintain accurate records of blood product quantities, expiration dates, and usage.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of blood products for transfusion.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control practices to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of blood products.
• Comply with regulatory standards and guidelines set by agencies such as the FDA, AABB, and other relevant organizations.
• Participate in training and quality assurance programs to stay updated with best practices and regulatory changes.
