Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Coordinator to join our dynamic multi-unit restaurant group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple locations with a focus on precise financial reporting and effective bookkeeping practices. Proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of GAAP are essential for success in this position.
Duties
Manage and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP standards
Handle payroll processing and related tax filings in compliance with governmental regulations
Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting activities for multiple restaurant locations
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies as well as non-profit or governmental accounting standards if applicable
Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries
Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and account analysis as needed
Utilize technical accounting skills to troubleshoot discrepancies and improve financial processes
Requirements
2+ years hands-on Restaurant365 experience (REQUIRED)
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken; familiarity with multiple platforms is preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting
Knowledge of corporate accounting practices; experience with non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus
Proficiency in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing
Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and perform account analysis accurately
Familiarity with tax regulations related to payroll and business taxes
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple accounts across various locations effectively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry (including 10 key typing skills)
Effective communication skills for collaborating with management and external auditors
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant work experience will also be considered
Strong understanding of payroll liabilities
Fluent in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
Multi-entity accounting experience preferred

Pay: $50,137.75 - $72,000.00 per year
