Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Secretary to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, managing administrative tasks, and supporting our accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting software and financial concepts, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken
Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation
Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
Prepare financial reports, including budgeting, financial statement writing, and GAAP-compliant documentation
Process payroll and manage tax-related filings with precision
Maintain general ledger reconciliation and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards
Phone calls and appointments management
Support administrative duties such as document management, correspondence, and scheduling as needed
Inventory management and leads managements.
Qualifications
Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts
Experience with governmental accounting, nonprofit accounting, or public accounting is a plus
Proficiency in bank reconciliation, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management
Knowledge of payroll processing and tax experience preferred
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks accurately under deadlines
10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for account analysis and financial report writing
Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and external auditors

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.32-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
