In this role, you will assist the delivery driver in transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting, making this position essential in providing excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities
• Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle.
• Help navigate delivery routes and ensure timely arrival at each destination.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and warehouse area.
• Support the driver with any necessary paperwork related to deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while handling goods and operating equipment.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of packages, sometimes exceeding 50 pounds.
• Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
• Knowledge of route driving and delivery processes is beneficial.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
